One of the great ‘icon’ red wines from South Africa. A Cabernet Sauvignon dominated blend with a nose that is complex, showing blackcurrant, cedarwood, graphite, and cigar box aromas. These develop in the glass and are joined by raspberry, black cherry, spice, and a hint of gaminess.

Our classic Bordeaux blend with a rich ruby color with an almost opaque center. Cassis, graphite, spice, and red berries abound on the nose. The delicate fruit, tannin structure, and fine acidity indicate a wine of balance and finesse reflective of the Vergelegen terroir.

Lovely fine mousse with a hint of toast, citrus, spice, and baked apples. Long, lingering, and refreshing aftertaste. Disgorged 13th January 2021 after 49 months on the lees. Released October 2021.
